Crystal Quest Ultraviolet Water Sterilizer System (12–84 GPM)
Part Number: CQE-UV-00104
Couldn't load pickup availability
Overview
The Crystal Quest Ultraviolet Water Sterilizer System (12–84 GPM) provides chemical-free water disinfection for commercial, industrial, laboratory, and water-treatment applications. Using ultraviolet (UV) light, the system is designed to help control bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms without adding chemicals to the water or altering its taste and odor.
Available in multiple flow capacities from 12 GPM to 84 GPM, the system can be selected according to the required service flow rate. 110V and 220V configurations are available, providing flexibility for different installation requirements.
Crystal Quest UV sterilizers can be incorporated into broader water-treatment systems, including reverse osmosis and other filtration configurations, where microbiological control is required.
Available Flow Rates
Choose from the following system capacities:
- 12 GPM
- 24 GPM
- 36 GPM
- 48 GPM
- 60 GPM
- 72 GPM
- 84 GPM
Select the appropriate flow rate based on the application's peak water demand and treatment requirements.
Voltage Options
Available electrical configurations:
- 110V
- 220V
Voltage availability should be selected according to the electrical requirements of the installation site.

How UV Treatment Works
Water passes through the stainless-steel UV chamber, where it is exposed to ultraviolet light. The UV treatment process disrupts the ability of microorganisms to reproduce, providing microbiological treatment without introducing disinfecting chemicals into the water.
Because UV treatment does not remove dissolved solids, sediment, hardness, or other physical and chemical contaminants, appropriate pretreatment may be required depending on the incoming water quality.
Applications
Suitable applications may include:
- Commercial water-treatment systems
- Laboratory water-treatment applications
- Reverse osmosis systems
- Medical and healthcare facilities
- Pharmaceutical applications
- Food and beverage operations
- Industrial process water
- Other applications requiring chemical-free microbiological water treatment
Integration with Water Treatment Systems
UV sterilization is commonly used as one stage within a broader water-treatment configuration. Depending on the application and source-water conditions, the UV system may be combined with sediment filtration, carbon filtration, water softening, reverse osmosis, demineralization, or other treatment technologies.
For reverse osmosis installations, the UV system should be sized according to the actual water flow through the UV chamber rather than RO system capacity alone.
Replacement & Maintenance
UV lamps gradually lose effective UV output during operation and require periodic replacement according to the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule.
Replacement lamps, O-rings, quartz sleeves, and other service components should be selected according to the specific UV system configuration.
Regular inspection and maintenance help ensure proper UV transmission and system performance.
Important Configuration Information
Select both the required flow rate and voltage when ordering.
The appropriate UV system size depends on factors including required flow rate, incoming water quality, UV transmission, and the overall treatment-system configuration. Adequate pretreatment may be necessary where sediment, hardness, iron, turbidity, or other water-quality conditions could interfere with effective UV treatment.
Available configurations, specifications, and components may vary by system capacity. Please refer to the selected model specifications when designing or integrating the system into a water-treatment installation.
