Overview
The Crystal Quest Commercial Water Softener Systems (600,000–1,800,000 Grains) are engineered for high-capacity commercial and industrial water softening applications where continuous operation, large-volume water demand, and long-term system reliability are essential.
Designed for manufacturing facilities, healthcare environments, laboratories, universities, hospitality infrastructure, municipal facilities, and large commercial operations, these systems help reduce hardness minerals such as calcium and magnesium that contribute to limescale buildup, equipment wear, reduced heating efficiency, and increased maintenance requirements.
By conditioning hard water through advanced ion exchange technology, these systems help protect industrial equipment, plumbing infrastructure, boilers, cooling systems, filtration equipment, and water-fed processes while improving overall operational efficiency and equipment longevity.
How Water Softening Works
Water softening is achieved through an ion exchange process in which hardness minerals such as calcium and magnesium are replaced with sodium or potassium ions.
The systems automatically regenerate to restore softening capacity using sodium chloride (salt) or potassium chloride depending on application requirements and system configuration.
System Capacities
Available capacities include:
- 600,000 Grains – Twin 20.0 cu.ft.
- 900,000 Grains – Twin 30.0 cu.ft.
- 1,200,000 Grains – Twin 40.0 cu.ft.
- 1,800,000 Grains – Twin 60.0 cu.ft.
These systems are designed for high-demand commercial and industrial applications requiring continuous softened water supply and maximum operational capacity.
Three-Stage Filtration Process
Stage 1 – Sediment Filtration
Water passes through commercial sediment filtration components designed to reduce sediment, silt, sand, and particulate matter.
Stage 2 – Ion Exchange Softening
Water flows through high-capacity mineral tank systems where hardness minerals are removed through ion exchange conditioning.
Stage 3 – Carbon Filtration
Water passes through activated carbon filtration media designed to reduce volatile organic compounds (VOCs), chlorine, solvents, pesticides, and other contaminants where present in the water supply.

Important Information
These systems require periodic regeneration using sodium chloride (salt) or potassium chloride to maintain proper softening performance.
Due to their size and operational capacity, professional installation, appropriate drainage, and proper system planning are strongly recommended.
In environments with elevated humidity, salt exposure, or continuous condensation, fiberglass tank configurations may be recommended to reduce long-term maintenance requirements.
