Crystal Quest 200–390 GPM Demineralizing (DI) Water Filtration System

Overview

The Crystal Quest 200–390 GPM Demineralizing (DI) Water Filtration System is a high-capacity commercial and industrial water treatment system designed to reduce dissolved ionic contaminants and produce high-purity demineralized water for applications requiring low mineral content.

Available in service flow rates of 200, 245 and 390 GPM, the system provides scalable high-volume demineralization for industrial facilities, manufacturing processes, large commercial operations, laboratory and healthcare applications, and other installations requiring controlled water quality at high flow rates.

Systems are constructed using heavy-duty composite fiberglass tanks and high-flow distribution components. All three capacities use a 3900 electronic control valve with 3" piping, providing a commercial automatic control configuration suited to high-flow installations.

All configurations use 3" piping and a 3900 electronic control valve.

Control Head Configuration

The 200–390 GPM Demineralizing (DI) Water Filtration System uses Crystal Quest's 3900 Automatic Control Head.

The 3900 is designed for high-flow commercial and industrial water treatment applications and features 3" BSP female connections, an NXT display controller and support for both downflow and upflow regeneration configurations.

Because the control-head configuration and connection size are common across all three capacities, customers need only select the required service flow rate from the available product options.

For applications requiring additional microbial control, the system may be paired with an appropriately sized UV water sterilizer. UV systems should be selected according to the required treatment flow rate.

Final system selection should take into account feed-water quality, required product-water quality, required service flow rate and the intended application.

Replacement Media & Maintenance

Demineralization media has a finite treatment capacity. Service life depends on factors including feed-water chemistry, dissolved ion concentration, water consumption and required product-water quality.

Replacement or regeneration requirements therefore vary between installations. For applications with strict water-purity requirements, product-water quality should be monitored to determine the appropriate servicing or media replacement interval.

The systems contain 30 ft³, 40 ft³ or 60 ft³ of demineralizing multi-media, depending on the selected capacity. Compatible replacement media and components should be selected according to the specific system configuration.
