Overview
The Crystal Quest Commercial Water Softener Systems (120,000–450,000 Grains) are engineered for medium- to high-capacity water softening applications where consistent performance, reliability, and system longevity are essential.
Designed for commercial buildings, healthcare environments, laboratories, universities, multi-user facilities, and light industrial operations, these systems help reduce hardness minerals such as calcium and magnesium that contribute to limescale buildup, equipment wear, reduced heating efficiency, and operational maintenance issues.
By conditioning hard water through advanced ion exchange technology, these systems help protect plumbing infrastructure, boilers, water-fed equipment, filtration systems, and commercial appliances while improving overall water quality and system efficiency.
How Water Softening Works
Water softening is achieved through an ion exchange process in which hardness minerals such as calcium and magnesium are replaced with sodium or potassium ions.
The systems automatically regenerate to restore softening capacity using sodium chloride (salt) or potassium chloride depending on application requirements and system configuration.
System Capacities
Available capacities include:
- 120,000 Grains – Twin 4.0 cu.ft.
- 210,000 Grains – Twin 7.0 cu.ft.
- 300,000 Grains – Twin 10.0 cu.ft.
- 450,000 Grains – Twin 15.0 cu.ft.
These systems are designed for medium- to high-demand commercial applications requiring continuous softened water supply and increased operational capacity.
Three-Stage Filtration Process
Stage 1 – Sediment Filtration
Water passes through a sediment filtration cartridge designed to reduce sediment, silt, sand, and particulate matter.
Stage 2 – Ion Exchange Softening
Water flows through the commercial mineral tank system where hardness minerals are removed through ion exchange conditioning.
Stage 3 – Carbon Filtration
Water passes through activated carbon filtration media designed to reduce volatile organic compounds (VOCs), chlorine, pesticides, solvents, and other contaminants where present in the water supply.
